Bullies, flagrant fouls and undercutting your opponent. It might sound like “Mixed-martial arts,” but we are actually talking about Women’s Field Hockey.Three young Kelowna women have been called up to join Canada’s national women’s field hockey team. Danielle Hennig, Nathalie Sourisseau and Abigail Rae are training right now in Vancouver for the Pan American games set for October in Mexico. They hope to use the Pan Am games as a qualifying event for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Before they left Kelowna, the CBC’s David French caught up with Danielle Hennig and Nathalie Sourisseau on the field hockey pitch.
