Even aethists have struggles with faith. They have at least considered what it means. Devout Christians often struggle. Life on earth is trying and confusing. It tests us.
I struggle with my faith. Finding wisdom is hard work even with King James helping out. Clearly too many evangelical Protestant Christians not only struggle with faith but should go back to Sunday School!
Regardless of which denomination one may choose study and support, all should learn something about the message of Jesus. Isn’t believing mean you accept his principles and strive to follow His way. We have a journey understanding the Word of God. scripture is deep stuff but there is also the beauty of simplicity. Remember Sunday school. Do unto others… Mr. Trump does not need any lesson I can recall. His bluster and disdain for people sounds more Devil than King to me. -Al Smith
- Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
- Proverbs 14:29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
“…I would say, the way he speaks about people is not the way our master, our savior has taught us to speak; it’s not the way our scriptures urge us to speak. The Bible urges us to be respectful to all people, especially people with whom we have disagreements, to never libel people, to never label people. Now, this is a huge deal in scripture, and so I would encourage that person, and the reason I’ve gone so verbal and vocal with this is because I’m protective of the reputation of Christ and the church, and I would ask that person not to interpret the Christian faith through the words of Mr. Trump.”
