October baseball memories

When I was a kid ( million years ago) I was a ball player. I practiced for hours. During my ‘spring training’, I threw balls against our garage with snow in the ground. My old coach Hank Tostenson used to give me old baseballs and bats. My mother let me stay home from school to watch World Series with her. We had some good times yelling at our b/w TV. Years later, we watched the Jays win two MLB titles. The beauty of now being retired from teaching and coaching, as I watch the BlueJays I don’t need to play hooky from school! 🙂
